Toomaj Salehi is thirty-three years old, he is an Iranian rapper and last week he was sentenced to death by the ayatollah regime. On Foglio we translated two songs by Toomaj protest against the Islamic Republic of Iran, “Faal” And “Normal”.
“Someone’s crime was dancing with your hair in the wind. Someone else’s crime was being brave and criticizing. The day will come when you will attack each other.” “Faal”, Destiny, is a song about the fate of the Tehran regime and the revolution of the Iranian people:

Here is a remake of Toomaj Salehi’s song “Soorakh Moosh”, the song that led to his arrest And became popular worldwide in protests against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The remake is by the Uniters, a group that is working for Salehi’s release.
At the end of the video the Iranian rapper says: “You can clearly see the victory of the people. These arrests are useless, these killings are useless. It will get worse and worse, and the situation will benefit the people. Freedom is expensive, yes, freedom kills. But the day will come when we will achieve justice and individuality. And then peace.”
