Exaggerated red for Celik
A clear decision by the referee who could have chosen to warn the Turkish winger rather than directly wave the red card: Celik’s foot is low, practically close to the ground, and barely touches Leao’s heel. Up until that point in the match, the referee had not yet used the cards, not even for Calabria and Giroud who had committed yellow card fouls on Dybala and Paredes respectively.
