LBA provision regarding Virtus

The President of the LBA Umberto Gandini,

regarding match no. 217 valid for the 28th matchday of the UnipolSai Serie A on 21 April between Virtus Segafredo Bologna and UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia;

• acknowledged having received a request from Virtus Segafredo Bologna to postpone the aforementioned match, conditional on the result of the same in the Euroleague Play-Ins scheduled for Friday 19 April in Vitoria on the Baskonia pitch;
• having taken note of the objective and proven circumstances emerging from the request and considering the inevitable implications linked to the sporting result of the Euroleague Play-In;
• referring to articles 5.1, paragraph 1, second paragraph, 5.3 and 5.4 of the LBA Sports Regulations;
• all this considered,

takes this measure regarding the calendar for the 28th matchday of the Serie A UnipolSai on 21 April, making the following assumptions:

HYPOTHESIS A

In the event of Virtus Segafredo Bologna qualifying for the Euroleague Play Offs, match no. 217 Virtus Segafredo Bologna – UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia will be disputed Sunday 21 April at 8.30pm.

HYPOTHESIS B

In case of elimination of Virtus Segafredo Bologna from the Euroleague, match no. 217 Virtus Segafredo Bologna – UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia will be disputed Monday 22 April at 8.30pm.
