Chiara Pesante called up to the national team

The activity of the Central Italy Club continues successfully, the project of the Italian Volleyball Federation, carried out in collaboration with the Territorial Committees, which will experience the next appointment, starting from Monday 29 April until 3 May, in the Lazio Region. The Technical Director of Women’s Youth activities, Prof. Marco Mencarelli called 20 players from Marche, Umbria, Lazio and Sardinia to the “AM-Vigna di Valle Sports Center” in via Provinciale Vigna di Valle, Bracciano (Rome).

The presence of Ancona in the group called up is very good, as has been the case for some time now. In particular, the name of Chiara Pesante stands out, a player born in 2009 who is part of Collemarino Volleyball. One of the most proactive and interesting local volleyballs is played right here. It is no coincidence, in fact, that the very young athlete was part of the Under 14 group capable of winning the regional champion title last year. The clear 3-0 against Cbf Balducci Paoloni 3M Volley represents only one of the first joys for Chiara who now wants to stand out in Azzurro too.

Last March, however, he was part of the Under 16 team that won the title of provincial champion, to be added to the Under 18 one. The youth sector is doing well, but Collemarino Volleyball can boast a first team that is struggling with tooth and nail in Serie B2, with the goal of salvation still possible. In short, a healthy environment in which training and growth come before any other aspect.
