The conference entitled “The university in Taranto”, organized by the Unire Taranto association, will be held on Thursday 2 May, starting at 5.30 pm, at the Corte Lo Jucco in Talsano. A discussion with many voices on a very relevant topic for the present and future of the Ionian community.
An initiative promoted to take stock of the situation on the university question. “We all know the importance of this topic which always raises many debates and questions, starting from the aspiration, I believe shared, to establish the University of Taranto as soon as possible. An ambitious objective which however requires in-depth reflection – declares Angela Tanzarella, journalist and president of the Unire Taranto association -. The presence of a university becomes an added value when the academic world is capable of interacting with the institutions, when it guarantees excellent teaching that prepares young people for the professions, when it aims to support cultural growth by taking into due consideration the territorial vocations and the peculiar development directions of a specific geographical area. For these reasons we thought it appropriate to involve not only professionals but also professional figures who in some way can bring an important contribution to the discussion”, concludes Angela Tanzarella.
