Origi, what a flop at Forest. He is not redeemed and returns to Milan

Divock Origi returns to Milan. Through a note published on their official website, Nottingham Forest has announced that the Belgian striker will leave the club at the natural end of his loan. Origi will therefore return to the Rossoneri, being bound by a contract until 2026. The striker, outside of the company’s plans, will almost certainly be put back on the market. Forest have announced that four other loan players will also say goodbye to the club: Giovanni Reyna, Nuno Tavares, Gonzalo Montiel, and Rodrigo Ribeiro.

The bleak numbers are reminiscent of his unfortunate season at Milan. Coach Nuno Espirito Santo also relegated him to reserve in the last eight games. And in the four finals, including the decisive one for salvation, he doesn’t even enter the field. He watches his team win the decisive match at Burnley that keeps the team in the Premier League. The record is absolutely disastrous: no goals in the league and his only goal of the season was scored against Bristol City, a Championship team, in the FA Cup. All this in 22 appearances. Origi had moved to Nottingham on the last available day of the summer transfer window, with the English having reserved a redemption right set at 5 million. Which was not exercised.
