The fifth edition of the Gela Conjunctive has concluded – the Gazzettino di Gela

The curtain falls on the fifth edition of the Gela Conjunctive.

In recent days, the awards ceremony saw the ‘very good’ of the biennial Italian competition, created by teacher Rosalba Occhipinti in 2014, alternate on the stage of the “Falcone-Borsellino” lecture hall of the Teachers’ Institute.

For the schools section, the Vittorini scientific and linguistic high school directed by Angela Tuccio, the IC Don Bosco (Falcone-Borsellino complex) led by Rosalba Marchisciana and the IC Don Milani (primary section) directed by Viviana Aldisio. Absolute first places, for each type and level of school, to the students Giorgia Morselli (Liceo Vittorini), Emanuela Cuvato (IC Gela and Butera, directed by Rocco Trainiti), Flavio Lo Iacono (IC Don Milani) and Samuele Santopà for the IV circle teaching Luigi Capuana. Kahoot special award to IC Gela-Butera.

The competition, we remember, took place on the tenth anniversary of the foundation of the “spontaneous SOS Congiuntivo Committee” composed of the teacher Rosalba Occhipinti Lana (who created it in 2013), the school director Carmelo Guastella, the journalist Franco Infurna and the teachers Andrea Cassisi , Rosalba Occhipinti, Grazia Scuderi, Rita Spataro and Vanda Condorelli who organized it together with the IV “Luigi Capuana” educational circle, currently directed by the school director Maurizio Tedesco.

The test was administered with the support of an external commission, coming from each participating institute and made up of teachers: Sr. Angela Galizia, Consolata Giardino, Antonella Aquino, Carmela Buscemi, Concetta Pizzardi, Filippa Catania, Graziana Di Noto, Letizia Tedesco, Milena Pizzo, Tina Calabrese, Rita Palumbo, Rosa Nicastro, Rosaria Sciascia, Sonia Madonia, Tiziana Alecci and Valentina Di Benedetto

The ceremony, presented by Alice Palumbo, was attended by all the students who took part in the competition and came from the IV Luigi Capuana teaching club (which competes for a separate ranking), from the comprehensive institutes “Ettore Romagnoli”, “San Francesco”, ” Don Bosco”, “Don Milani”, “Gela-Butera” and “Quasimodo”, from the “Vittorini”, “Eschilo”, Majorana”, “Morselli” and Sturzo” secondary schools and high schools and from “Sister Teresa Valsè” private institute.

Each of the winning students was awarded a cash prize of 150 euros, thanks to the support of “Salvatore Zuppardo” Center for Christian Culture and Spirituality chaired by Andrea Cassisi and the following club services: Fidapa, Gela section chaired by Rita Spataro; Inner Wheel Club of Gelachaired by Eugenia Romano; Lions Club Gela Environment Territory and Culturechaired by Valentina Licata; Lions Club Butera and Terre Federicianechaired by Angela Testa; Lions Club Gulf of Gelachaired by Alessandro Guarnera; Kiwanis Club of Gelachaired by Francesco Di Silvestre; Rotary Club of Gelachaired by Silvio Scichilone e Soroptmist Club of Gelachaired by Laura Cannilla
