We receive and publish the email from our reader Claudio who asks Fiorentina to change their ticket pricing policy.

Good evening Violanews editorial staff,

I am writing to you to report a situation that seems absurd to me regarding tickets for tomorrow’s match and more generally regarding pricing policy. I would add that I worked in the sports sales and marketing sector in America, also with a NASL company where Commisso’s Cosmos were playing at the time. I make this clarification not to boast but to establish that I have worked like sports clubs and I understand the needs of selling tickets.

In recent days I received an email where I work (an American university in the center) and I realized that American students are offered prices well below the prices available for subscribers (even Pro Subscribers like me). It is totally unacceptable that people with greater purchasing power are given a discount on prices compared to those who pay for the subscription despite having less purchasing power.

It seems to me to be a huge lack of respect towards those who have loved Fiorentina for a long time, and who, despite a meager salary of 1,500 euros, make sacrifices to pay for the season ticket every year. I don’t think it’s right that season ticket holders should have to pay more to go to the curve (€18), while those who can afford to pay $70,000 a year for university are offered a ticket costing €16 to go to better places (Lateral Marathon).

I wrote to the company’s ticket office about this without receiving a response. I hope you can give visibility to this situation and that Fiorentina corrects this situation.
