Xabi Alonso has made official his decision to remain at Bayer Leverkusen again next year by sending back to the sender the proposals of two top clubs such as Bayern Monaco And Liverpool. Here are his words at the press conference:
“We come from a season full of commitments, during which there was also a lot of speculation regarding my future. For this reason I used the championship break for national team commitments to reflect on what to do. Last week I had a meeting with the club’s management to understand what decision to make and the decision is to continue coaching Bayer Leverkusen.
I analyzed everything and understood that this is the right place and club to continue my growth path as a coach. I have always felt great support and there is great participation in the work from all departments of the company. The fans also gave us great support, even last year when we had difficult times. And today they do it by supporting us in giving everything we can give. Bayern and Liverpool? I think it would not be correct for me to talk about other companies. There are certainly companies with which I have a strong bond, but it is not correct to talk about it now.”
