Montemurlo (PO) 140 athletes started this morning at the 1st CAM TROPHY, a race organized by Asd Moto Guzzi Prato in collaboration with CAM (CA Montemurlo), also valid for the Prato FCI Provincial Championship. The beautiful sunny morning saw 65 starters lined up in the Elite Sport, M1, M2, M3 and M4 categories, starting at 9.30 am; while there were 75 starters in the M5, M6, M7, M8 and Women categories who started at 9.35am.

We would like to thank all the participants who, with their presence, allowed the proceeds of the race to be donated to the San Vincenzo Association, an association that helps people in economic and social difficulty in the municipal area of ​​Montemurlo.

First race, immediately lively from the first lap where 5 of them attack, these are: Yuri Colonna Stefan, Gabriele Benedetti Speedy Bike, Filippo Stoppioni San Ginese, the Dutch Pieter Scheerens and Matteo Zingoni Angolo del Pirata. During the second lap, Zingoni jumps and there are 4 of them in the lead, chased about 30″ by a small group led by Appollonio of Promotech, the group more than a minute behind. Halfway through the race, Colonna leads the group from the four, while Appollonio brings the group back to the other fugitives. From here the cards are shuffled and there are new pursuers on Colonna who will be caught again during the penultimate lap. The bell rings and the victory will be disputed between them while the group suffers a strong delay. Alberto Turchetti, Elite Sport of Speedy Bike will get the better of Michele Massa, M4 of Bicisport Sanguinetti and Yuri Colonna Team Stefan, fourth Matteo Sensi of Domestic Nmd, fifth Gabriele Conti of Speedy Bike., Sixth place for Matteo Spinetti, M1 of Ciclissimo Bike, always active in the pursuit phases of the breakaway, seventh place but first in M3, Diego Giuntoli of Gs Baglini. Provincial champions will be: Gabriele Bonechi Elite sport, Matteo Cecchini M1, Matteo Scali M2, Niklas Corbo M3, Tiziano Castagna M4.

In the restricted sprint it will be Morigi from Lelli Bike Savio, M6 category, who gets the better of Ferri from Team Stefan who will win in the M7, followed in third place by Lisi from Falaschi and Guarini from New Mt Bike Team 2001. He regulates the group in the sprint, Federico Colonna of the Stefan team, winning the M5 category, over Aleandro Salvini of Tbr Certaldo. Victory in M8 for Massimo Lari of Cicli Puccinelli and among women victory for Michela Gorini of Team Fausto Coppi Corse.
