The press conference to present Del Monte was held this morning in Palmi® Supercoppa A3, where the authorities presented the second Serie A3 event of the 2024 season: on 30 March, in fact, at the ‘Mimmo Surace’ stadium in Palmi (RC), the third edition of the Serie A3 Supercoppa will be awarded.

Below are the statements of the authorities who intervened.
Giuseppe Ramuccio (Mayor of Palmi): “This is one of those conferences that make me proud to be Mayor of Palmi. A city that has the privilege of hosting Del Monte® A3 Super Cup with the home team involved, namely OmiFer Palmi. A team that managed to fascinate the entire community thanks to the results obtained this year. A Final which for us is an opportunity to promote the values of sport. These results were also an opportunity for the city to positively convey the name of Palmi and the entire Calabria region”.
Yvonne Schlesinger (Deputy Director and Head of Events and Marketing of the Volleyball League): “Special thanks go to the OmiFer Palmi company which immediately made itself available to host the event Del Monte® A3 Super Cup, which will see two important teams face each other. Gabbiano Mantova will play in the Promotion Play-Off, OmiFer Palmi will participate in the Round of 16 Play Offs. We are very pleased to be back here in Calabria for an important event which will be played with all the qualities of the League, such as the tricolor flooring already seen in Fano for the Final Four of the Italian Cup. I hope it will be a spectacular event and a magnificent event: as the Volleyball League we are happy to be here in Palmi”.
Giuseppe Carbone (President of OmiFer Palmi): “The first thing I want to do is thank the Volleyball League: as we well know, Palmi was not the organizing city. The League allowed Calabria to organize the event: the invitation I want to make to the Region is that everyone can actively participate in this magnificent sport that is volleyball and which brings families and children together to create an important movement and give opportunities to young people . Thanks also to the institutions, the Mayor and the authorities present, to whom I extend my thanks with the hope that they will continue to believe in what the company is carrying forward in representing the entire Region. We must continue on our path for the good of sport in general for the promotion of our territory. Tomorrow will be a big party.”

Giuseppe Mattiani (Regional Councillor): “First of all I want to thank the Deputy Director of the Volleyball League. But special thanks also go to President Carbone, who has always demonstrated important values, managing to build a real family rather than a team. It is in life off the field that the best example must be set. I bring greetings from President Occhiuto, I am convinced we will see a great match.”

Del Monte® Super Cup Serie A3
On Sunday at PalaSurace Mantua and Palmi will face each other at 5pm to raise the trophy to the sky
The third edition of Del Monte® The Serie A3 Super Cup is scheduled for Saturday 30 March, at 5pm, on the PalaSurace pitch in Palmi, in the province of Reggio Calabria. This is the second A3 seasonal event after the Italian Cup in the category played in Fano at the beginning of March. Seagull Mantuawinner of the White Group and team that has scored the most points between the two groups, challenges the hosts ofOmiFer Palmiwinners of the Del Monte® Italian Cup Serie A3. On the one hand, a solid team that has totaled 21 victories and 3 defeats in the championship and awaits the Promotion Playoff with Macerata, on the opposite front the undisputed surprise of the Italian Cup, which presented itself in Fano as an outsider and then proposed a concrete volleyball and overturned the forecasts of the day before. The Palmi team, who have the field factor in their favour, want to overturn the predictions once again for a second cup cup and a debut in the Round of 16 Play Offs with a lot of energy against San Giustino.

THE FORMULA – The best at the end of the Regular Season (Gabbiano Mantova) faces the winner of the Del Monte ® Coppa Italia A3 (OmiFer Palmi). Mantua has in fact scored 61 points, compared to 56 for Macerata, leaders of the Blue Group.
THIRD EDITION – 2023/24 will be the third edition of the Del Monte® Super Cup Serie A3. After the first two awards of the trophy in the Marche (2022 in Grottazzolina, 2023 in Fano), the Super Cup will be played in Calabria. The only other final phase of a League event in the region was the Serie A2 Super Cup, played in Vibo Valentia on 10 April.
Play Off Serie A3 Credem Banca
Game 1 Round of 16: six matches scheduled. The round opens on Sunday with Lecce – Lagonegro and closes on Wednesday with Cagliari – San Donà and San Giustino – Palmi
Play Off Serie A3 Credem Banca in the starting blocks for the round of 16. The teams classified from 2nd to 7th place in each Group meet in two home and away matches (with a possible Golden Set), within their own group. The team with the best ranking plays the return match within friendly walls. Cross-matches between teams from different groups will only be permitted by the quarter-finals.
The round opens on Easter, Sunday 31 March, at 7.00 pm, with the challenge between Aurispa DelCar Leccequalified thanks to sixth place in the Blue Group, e Lagonegro rebirth, on the third step of the podium at the end of the First Phase. On Easter Monday, Monday 1 April 2024, at 6.00 pm Senini Motta di Livenzafifth force in the White Group, hosts the Monge Gerbaudo Saviglianowhich finished the Regular Season fourth, while at 7.00 pm the Negrini CTE Acqui Termewho reached the Round of 16 with White’s last available pass, receives a visit from Belluno Volleyball, second force of the same group. The game will also be played on Tuesday 2 April (8.00 pm), the first of two face-to-face games scheduled betweenAvimecc Modicawhich occupies the last slot among the teams admitted to the Play Offs in the Blue Group, and the Smartsystem Fano, finalist of the Italian Cup and second also at the finish line of the regular season. The 1st day of the Round of 16 ends on Wednesday 3 April. At 7.00 pm CUS Cagliarisixth in the final ranking of the White Group, crosses the Personal Time San Donà di Piave, a team that ended the season at 47 points like Belluno, but slipped to third place due to a worse set ratio. The round will be closed by the 8.30pm match between theErm Group San Giustinofifth in the Blue Group, and theOmiFer Palmifourth force of the same group, already winner of the 2024 Italian Cup in the category in Fano and involved in the Del Monte Final tomorrow® Serie A3 Super Cup at PalaSuraci.

Match 1 White Group: Easter Monday on the pitch. Bologna hosts Mirandola at 8pm for the salvation derby
Eight days after the end of the Serie A3 Credem Banca regular season, the category Play Out opens for the White Group, while for the Blue Group the discussion is postponed for a few weeks. On Monday 1st April, Easter Monday, a best-of-three Emilian derby is scheduled to stay in the third national series. First serve at 8.00 pm, on the PalaSavena field, with the home team Geetit Bolognatenth with 28 points at the end of the first phase, determined to assert their superiority against Stadium Mirandola, which thwarted the direct descent thanks to the success with the maximum gap obtained in the last round against the already relegated Salsomaggiore, a result which allowed them to reach 24 points, limiting the distance to 4 points and avoiding for now the goodbye to the category. Absolute balance in previous matches with two victories each. A significant fact could prove to have an impact, in direct clashes the field factor has always prevailed.

PLAY OUT FORMULA
Relegation Play Outs will be held to determine 2 relegations to Serie B, in which the teams ranked 11th and 10th in each Group at the end of the Regular Season participate. If there is a difference of 5 or more points between the 10th and 11th places, the 11th place will be directly relegated, regardless of the number of victories. The formula involves two matches won out of three. The first match and the possible play-off are played at the home of the teams with the best ranking at the end of the Regular Season. The teams belonging to the same group will meet.
