The 30th edition of the FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda, the first completely organized by APT Garda Dolomiti, will be characterized by numerous innovative elements compared to previous editions, placing the themes of accessibility and sustainability at the center of its project.
ACCESSIBILITY: A FESTIVAL FOR EVERYONE
Thanks to connecting bridges, lanes and car parks accessible to anyone, it will be easier to move around the Expo Area. Furthermore, in collaboration with Remoove, AsTrID OdV and ASD Sport Team Vallagarina, a new area has been set up, called Bike For All, where bicycles dedicated to different types of disabilities will be made available. With its all-round commitment, FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda is the first event in Trentino to receive the ACS – OPEN MARK CERTIFICATION certification, issued by the Autonomous Province of Trento to completely accessible events.
AN INCREASINGLY SUSTAINABLE EVENT
The sustainability of an event with the numbers of the Bike Festival – over 200 exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors (70 thousand in the last edition) – is a fundamental issue for the organisers.
Food & Drink
In all the drink stations of the festival, the drinks will be stored in kegs and served in reusable cups made of recycled plastic, a system that allows you to avoid using plastic bottles or cans. There will be no natural water for sale: in collaboration with AGS (Azienda Gardesana Servizi), throughout the festival area there will be drinking water fountains to fill water bottles or reusable cups. As for food, a zero kilometer plan has been designed which is based on local products and not on the traditional system of street food, food trucks or private individuals, thanks to the collaboration with pro loco and local associations.
Power
The 30th edition of the FSA Bike Festival Riva del Garda will be characterized by 100% clean energy certification. For the Expo Area, in fact, only clean and sustainable hydroelectric energy will be supplied by Dolomiti Energia. Naturally, all waste disposal will be organized according to a separate collection system.
Installations
All the setups will be made with structures already used for other events, in wood and metal, simply re-adapted from a graphic point of view with plastic materials with a guarantee of durability over time.
Merchandising
The Bike Festival branded merchandising – another new feature this year – features technical clothing made with recycled and recyclable yarns, organic cotton and biodegradable polyethylene, as well as recycled and recyclable plastic water bottles.
Mobility
Finally, the partnership with Auto Industriale Mobility Group will allow the use of a fleet of electric cars only.
