ANCONA – It has started the 30th edition of Easter Volley, Flavio Brasili memorial, international youth women’s volleyball tournament with 124 teams underway and 27 plants in 13 cities involved. The first day of competitions saw all the participants in the traditional 4 categories field for at least one match.
In under 13 “Marco Vive trophy” the South Tyrolean teams of Neumarkt, Cento, Bftm Camerano and Cus Ancona start off strong. In under 14 “Massimo Governatori trophy” Fermignano won its group, like Rizzi Volley Udine, Sir Safety Assisi, Mondial Carpi, Pescara, La Nef Osimo, Riziz Volley, Vasto, Castel Jesi, Arabona. In under 16 only victories for Volley Lab Polverigi, Nova Volley Loreto, the Serbian team from Strand A, the Croatians from Zagreb and Pula, Basilisco Mezzocorona and Gada Pescara, Rizzi Volley, Vicenza Volley. Winning debut for the Latvian national team and the Nove Mesto Slovakian team. In under 18 Pallavolo Lizzana Rovereto, MTV Astraco Milano, Pro Volley Roma, Pallavolo Collemarino, Lab Ancona Team Volley, Cbf Balducci Paoloni and Elisir Vizzolo stood out on the first day. The Ukrainian girls from Ivano Frankirsk and the Polish debutants from Wroclaw and Pałac Bydgoszcz also scored. Positive debut yesterday afternoon for the Americans from Minnesota of Northern Lights with two victories in two matches.
Friday 29 March is dedicated in the morning to closing the elimination rounds and in the afternoon to starting the phase that will lead to the fight to define the ranking. Appointment for everyone for the under 16 and under 18 finals from 2pm for the awards ceremony on Saturday afternoon 30 March at the Palarossini Estra-Prometeo in Ancona during which individual awards will be given to the best athletes, to the referees who will direct all the matches and the “Sport in the Heart” award. On Friday evening from 9pm at the Palaserenelli in Loreto, a coaching course held by Marco MencarelliTechnical Director of the national female youth activity.
