The Paris Olympics are approaching and, after a mini retreat of the national cycling coaches to view the routes around the French capital, they have arrived from Pinarello the new bikes that will be used by the quartets who will try to win a medal in track cycling. Pinarello, a brand that has supplied the Italian national team for 30 years, has created a new version of the Pinarello Bolide F HR 3D (here is the version from two years ago) already used by Filippo Ganna for the hour record of 56,792 kmmade on the Grenchen track, on 8 October 2022. Bike, among other things, tested by his teammate Dan Bigham two months earlier, achieving the new record which was later beaten by Ganna himself. The Verbanese has always used this bike in subsequent events and, less than a week later, he also achieved the new record for the distance of 4 km, descending at 3’59”636, thus being the second athlete in history to break the 4′ barrier after Ashton Lambie. However, there are new goals to reach and new records to conquer and, in fact, Pinarello has brought several modifications to this bike, thus providing the means for the entire national team. We will have the Bolide F HR 3D in the Scalmalloy League for men aiming to win Olympic gold again in the team pursuit and the Bolide HR C in carbon for the girls who aim to win Olympic gold after having grown a lot since 6th place in Tokyo (in recent years they have graduated both World Champions and European Champions).
