Speaking to TMW Radio, Ernesto Paolillo, former Inter CEO, took stock of the present and future of the Nerazzurri:

Inter, there is talk of the Oaktree bond expiry:

“It was foreseeable that Oaktree would put pressure on Zhang because the situation is known and the level of current rates is known. Even in the event of renewal the loan will be extremely onerous. It seems strange to me that Zhang arrived a few days before the deadline without a solution. Now either everything passes into the hands of Oaktree or a replacement for Zhang, but I don’t see it on the horizon. I believe that at the moment only Arab capital can intervene, I’m not thinking of American or Asian capital.”

Marotta says he wants to say goodbye in 2027. What kind of future do you see for him?

“If I think about managers at Italian football or sports level, I believe a man with his experience could very well be employed at high national management levels, for the good of Italian football. For Inter, however, I hope he still remains there, because it would mean that there is a club that helps him lead a still very competitive team. I would see him well in the Federation anyway.”

What do you think of the exit of Gravina, who said he believes in Acerbi?

“If we want to talk about the improvident exits on sanctions imposed, I find these exits absurd. I would like a Federation that is also the first to address the disciplinary code. I would have avoided it. Gravina must remain neutral in his position”.
