The Miami Masters 1000 is about to enter its hot phase: Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev they are ready to face each other in the semi-finals, while on the other side of the scoreboard Carlos Alcaraz will cross Grigor Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev he will have to deal with Fabian Maroszan. What will the ATP ranking of the Italians be at the end of the US hard court tournament?
Jannik Sinner currently occupies third place with 8,110 points under his belt: in the event of qualification for the semi-finals he will reach 8,360, raising the trophy to the sky it would fly to 8,710. The South Tyrolean champion he would become number 2 in the event of final success and the elimination of the Spanish Alcaraz in the quarter-finalsmoving behind the Serbian Novak Djokovic (9.725).
Lorenzo Musetti he beat the American Ben Shelton and then lost in the round of 16 against Alcaraz, but remains in 24th position with 1,610 points. The Tuscan could be overtaken by Marozsan if the Hungarian wins the tournament. Matteo Arnaldi instead he gained three positions by reaching the round of 16 in Miami (where he lost against the Czech Tomas Machac) and is currently 35th with 1,171 points, but would be overtaken by Marozsan if the Hungarian beat Zverev in the quarter-finals.
Lorenzo Sonego he lost in the first round in Florida and slipped back eight positions: the Piedmontese is now 61st with 875 points. Flavio Cobolli he exited in the second round in the States and is 23rd with 865 points. Luciano Darderi instead he gained three places and is 72nd with 781 points (he would be relegated one position if the Argentine Federico Coria won the Naples Challenger).
The Naples Challenger will have to be followed carefully given that Luca Nardi (currently 95th with 631 points) e Fabio Fognini (99th with 599) could make their way and gain positions. For example, if Nardi won it he would become number 76 or 77. Matteo Berrettini he is stuck in 133rd place and will return to the field in Marrakech next week.
