These are his considerations: “We are playing against another team that is fighting to stay in the top flight, they play very well, literally different from before, they have added three new players to the quintet, they are in good shape, an absolutely experienced coach is waiting for us a very tough challenge.”
Different approach. I hope that we will go to Brindisi with a different mentality especially in the approach compared to Trento, in terms of physicality they made it difficult for us to do everything we need to play the match. We fought in a difficult match with the opponents who played very well, we didn’t shoot well but we did well to get within -4 with 2′ to go with Cappelletti’s open shot.”
3-point shooting percentage. “We created open shots against Trento, we didn’t put them in, for me it wasn’t the key to the match, too many easy shots conceded in defensive transition, we didn’t stop it even with the fouls we could have committed. We can definitely improve our three-point shooting but it’s the defense that needs to level up.”
Jefferson and Bendizius. “Yesterday Brandon Jefferson did half a training session, the pain is reducing, I think he will play but I don’t know in what way or how many minutes, there are only two days left, time is very tight. Regarding Bendzius, he is training with the team, but he is far from being ready for the condition and intensity needed in the match, I don’t want to destroy the team chemistry for a player until he is 100%. He works hard, he’s 5 against 0, but every match today is a battle, I don’t think Benji is ready, he needs at least a month of training at maximum intensity, both to avoid risking his health and to avoid ruining his balance.”
