Piracy Shield, AgCom’s anti-piracy platform, is back in the news. As reported by the portal D-day, the source code was stolen and put online on GitHub, marking significant damage to the platform. As you read above Football and Finance in the published leaks you can find everything from the user interface to data models, from storage management and filesystems, to the API and internal documentation.

The Serie A League specified in a note that the “Piracy Shield platform is fully functional and its security is not at all compromised by the illicit dissemination of some parts, not even current ones, of the source code”.

“We are certain that AGCOM – underlines the League – will continue to act for the proper functioning of a technical-legal system which is already bearing important fruits, in implementation of a law approved unanimously in Parliament, with all due respect to attempts to sabotage the criminals who operate illicit IPTVs and their friends.”

“The Serie A League for its part will continue to make its maximum effort to fight this plague in every location which not only endangers the future of football, but which costs thousands of jobs every year”, concludes the Italian top league in his note.
