On the Cesena pitch Romagna RFC demonstrated why they are first in the standings. Technique, organization, effectiveness, Romagna gave an extraordinary lesson in rugby. The Gubbio Rugby Wolves, courageous as always, did not hold back and for 80 minutes, perhaps even more, they defended, tackled, went to the ground and got up, and again tackles, pushing, supporting, advancing . The final result was merciless, 88-0, with 14 tries scored. A day of great rugby, finished with an excellent third half. Coach McDonnell’s words after the match: “This is a high-level team, my compliments to Romagna. They will be in Serie A next and they have shown a game of the highest caliber. We have never given up and played against a team so strong it is always a great experience both for the team and for each player individually.
