The ex-boyfriend of the couple’s daughter who was attacked inside her home in San Colombano Certenoli, in the province of Genoa, is in custody for attempted femicide. The couple aged 62 and 65 were hit in the face and head and the attacker killed their small dog. The young man, a 25-year-old, then stole the keys to the two cars, managing to escape in a Fiat 500. The incident was discovered by the neighbors who had heard strange noises and the moans of the injured couple and who called for help. The Carabinieri of the Genoa Investigation Unit and the Chiavari Company intervened. The spouses are hospitalized in intensive care at the San Martino Polyclinic, with a reserved prognosis.

The manhunt
