Psycho-aptitude tests? They should be done not only for magistrates, but also “for all the top sectors of public administration, for those with government responsibilities and for those who deal with the management of public affairs”. Speaking is Nicola Gratteri, prosecutor of Naples. On the sidelines of a press conference on local news events, the prosecutor symbol of the anti-mafia commented on the decision of the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio to provide psycho-aptitude tests for those who want to access the profession of magistrate. Gratteri said he agreed with this innovation, adding that it would also include a drug test and an alcohol test, because “those who are under the influence of drugs can not only make altered reasoning but can also be blackmailed”.
In addition to the reform project approved yesterday by the Council of Ministers, the Naples prosecutor also returned to the invitation of the rapper Geolier to the Federico II University, criticized by Gratteri himself. «I’m taking a step back – he added today on the sidelines of the press conference -.
