HBS Colorno leaves the Zaffanella stadium defeated 33-10 at the hands of Rugby Viadana in the first round of the Serie A Elite Playoffs.
The 3000 spectators at the Zaffanella Stadium in Viadana welcome the teams to the field for the third Derby del Po of the season, this time with a Scudetto Playoff flavour.
It’s Viadana who starts strong, going in with third line Locatelli after just five minutes, Hugo responds from a free kick seven minutes later to score the only red and white points of the first half. It is in fact Viadana who plays the game by going to the goal again with Baronio and Luccardi in a “pick up and go” situation. After a free kick from Roger the teams go to the locker room at 22-3.
In the second half coach Casellato tries to make some changes but Viadana continues to attack and score points with Roger from the pitch, down 28-3 HBS Colorno reacts from a maul with Lovotti in the final minutes. At the end of the match, however, it was Viadana again who scored the bonus goal with Antonio Denti. It ends 33-10.
Second Playoff for HBS Colorno scheduled for next Saturday 4 May at Mirabello in Reggio Emilia, opponent Valorugby.
