The ugliest (and most beautiful) song of the moment

The record for the worst is “Femme fatale” by Emma. The best is instead “Zanzare” by Chiara Ianniciello, a delicate nymph, unlike the first

The other day I reported the ugliest Italian sculpture of the moment, today I highlight the worst Italian song of the moment: “Femme fatale” by Emma. On Open a lauder defined his music as “asphyxiating”: if he hadn’t been so well disposed, what adjective would he have used? I don’t even try because to be able to read the text I had to turn off the audio, it was too disturbing. I was thus able to scroll through a catalog of moldy stereotypes: the “slightly bohemian” café, the steps of Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower, the “soubrette” moon… Putrefying words. To recover, I point out the most beautiful Italian song of the moment: “Zanzare” by Chiarè i.e. Chiara Ianniciello from Roccapiemonte (Salerno). She, singer and double bass player, is fresh and delicious, high cheekbones, lipstick, the little face of cousins and girlfriends in our area. The song is also fresh and delicious, in Italian and Neapolitan, which recalls Pino Daniele except that Pino Daniele would never have known how to write it: it needed a girl. An incredible grace emanates from the singer, from her song, from the musicians who accompany her in the live video, very young and very good. Chiarè is a nymph but not a plebeian nymph in the manner of Domenico Rea, the great writer who rests in the village next to her: she is a delicate nymph. It’s the opposite of Emma.
