After Elodie, Diodate And Nadathis evening at Palapartenope in the “vortex” of Annalisa Gigi D’Alessio could end up there, perhaps for a game of «Mon amour» squared. The presence of a guest is one of the key points of this sold out tour, even at Naplesby Scarrone, the prima donna of Italian pop who after ten years of chasing success has grabbed it with a handful of catchphrase titles.
It all started with «Bellissima», everything has come to the present day with the third place in Sanremo of «Sincerely». But in the middle there is the pounding madness of «Mon amour», five times platinum, signed last year with Davide Simonetta, Paolo Antonacci, Stefano Tognini: «I saw her kissing him / kissing her, kissing me/ mon amour, amour, but who do you kiss?”. The title is the same as the Latin song that the Neapolitan singer-songwriter brought to success in 2001: «When this night, when this night sets the sun/ mon amour mon amour/ yo quiero darte mi corazon/ mon amour mon amour./ Barefoot near the sea/ a bailar a bailar/ Toda la noche quisiera estar».
If indeed, as the usual well-informed say, he will be the duetting «friend». of the thirty-eight year old sexy star from Savona in tonight’s Neapolitan trip, a mash up between the two «Mon amour» could be fun. And prodromal of a new duet between the two, this time in Piazza del Plebiscito, in one of the seven live shows that D’Alessio has scheduled: 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 15 June. Or the two could exchange “Mon amour”: we’ll see, if it happens, how it happens.
But the show promises much, much more, telling the golden moment of a pop star who has finally focused on a less anodyne repertoire, also controlling an otherwise important vocal style. On her stage, her trusty band: Daniel Bestonzo (keyboards and synths) who also took care of the musical direction, Gianni Pastorino (keyboards and synths) e Dario Panza (drums and electronics), as well as twelve dancers directed by Simone Baroni, at ease on the stage that embraces the audience with a long central catwalk. The setlist, with its hits, also includes covers such as «Walking on the moon» by the Police and «Sweet dreams (are made of this» by Eurythmics. Also important is the visual part of the tour, entrusted to Jacopo Ricci, born in 1994, with active collaborations with Skrillex, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Janet Jackson, Martin Garrix, Achile Lauro, Fedez. It is he who gives a visual sense to Annalisa’s “vortex”, to the “concept of the swirling nature of human existence”, to the story of the singer’s career, to the point of creating an avatar of the artist.
Who is preparing to end this indoor phase of his tour to move on to outdoor spaces. In May he will be at the Verona Arena for the first time with two events on 14 May (sold out) and 20 May. Then off to the summer concert tour, renamed «Tutti nel vortice outdoor», which will return to Campania on 10 August for a concert at the Baia dei Pino in Baia Domizia (Ce).
