In the province of Varese, for the many music lovers, the duo “The BeeTools” stands out since 2019, a cover band of the famous Beatles, born in Travedona Monate. The duo is made up of Ivan Cappelletti, guitar and vocals and Nicola Della Pepa, bass and vocalswho have been playing together for many years and have, over time, had the opportunity to experiment with different genres and formations.
«In 2019 we played in two different groups but, when we met again, we decided to create this duo and start a new musical experience – says Ivan – the passion for the Beatles was passed on to us by our dads. We had to work a lot to adapt the songs of the English band sung and played by 4 elements with various different instruments to reproduce them only with our two voices and our two instruments, without the use of recorded backing tracks. We studied to find a way to faithfully reproduce all the sounds present in the songs from the horn to the piano to the drums, just using our guitar and our bass.”
The debut of the duo “The BeeTools” took place in Angera in 2019 and from there the two musicians never stopped. Even during the Covid period they continued to play with live streaming events and concerts.
But the group’s performances, to date, are not limited only to evenings in clubs: «For some time now we have also started performing outdoors On the street, the energy and affection that the people who choose to stop and listen to us and dedicate their time to us are priceless – Ivan continues – unfortunately, however, to play on the street requires permits for the occupation of public land which are often difficult to obtain. achieve, but this didn’t stop us – continues Cappelletti. We have thought of equipping the inside of a van to make it our mobile stage. This way from there we can perform wherever we want.”
