Speaking with a ComicBook correspondent, Esposito revealed that he has always appreciated the enthusiasm of the fans regarding his possible interpretation of characters such as Charles Xavier or Magneto, while maintaining absolute secrecy regarding the nature of his role in the MCU:
“The fans started the Professor X rumors and I loved it. I went along with the wave because I love the fans. […] I started thinking about Professor X, because I feel like that’s a character that I could really excel at, and be really awesome at. They’ve talked about Magneto, DC’s Mr. Freeze, all of that stuff. I’m really happy to be a part of the MCU. I’m happy that you don’t know what I’m doing, and I’m happy that I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m happy to be there and you’ll see it soon.“.
What can I say, there hasn’t really been much talk about Giancarlo Esposito lately. For example, many believed that Esposito would have played the famous Moon Knight villain, Bushman, a hypothesis supported by similarity between the American interpreter and the comic book character.
