Fantastic Four Could Be a Revolution for the MCU: Here’s Why

2025 will be a golden year for all Marvel fans who will finally see Captain America: Brave New World and the highly anticipated Fantastic Four on the big screen. And if with Anthony Mackie’s new super soldier he will continue to respect the MCU with his rules, these will be almost non-existent for Matt Shakman’s film.

It was Kevin Feige himself who confirmed that the setting of Fantastic Four will take place in an alternate reality that resembles our 1960s but not completely to deceive fans and place the film’s timeline in the past. If Fantastic Four will begin in an alternate reality to the one we know, it would seem that the new film could therefore “break” the mechanism that links all the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that is the setting in a world of interconnected superheroes where cameos are almost fan favorite moments.

It is not difficult, however, that Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), the Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) could take us for a ride in the Multiverse but the journey of our heroes will still start from an alternate universe to Earth 616. Rumors, however, would reunite the quartet in the MCU only with the destruction of their reality, thus realigning it with the cinematic universe that we all know. Kevin Feige with Fantastic Four starts a revolution in the MCU with the simple choice of moving everything to a retro and parallel reality: could he surprise us and use this alternative universe also in the future?

We’ll have to wait a bit to find out but in the meantime we can find out if the Fantastic Four star has ever read Marvel comics.
