Did Nolan want a Robin movie after the Batman trilogy? Joseph Gordon-Levitt clarifies

Christopher Nolan’s last ten years have been studded with incredible successes: at regular intervals, however, the conversation always returns to that iconic trilogy of dark Knight which we really don’t want to stop thinking about, perhaps even dreaming of an unlikely spin-off.

After the rumours that Nolan wanted the Riddler in The Dark Knight Rises, a well-known rumour has come back into fashion according to which the director was also intending to shoot a film entirely centered on the figure of Robin.

It was the person directly concerned who commented and, apparently, definitively denied the matter, i.e Joseph Gordon-Levitt: “Nolan wanted to make a trilogy. He never wanted to make any more films, that was the end of his trilogy. It’s funny, because if we look back today from the perspective of things like the Marvel Cinematic Universe everything seems to have to be a sequel to a sequel to a sequel. But at the time making a trilogy was a lot of stuffand that’s how it was understood” were his words.

Better to put a stop to dreams, therefore: we will hardly ever see Christopher Nolan return to Gotham to try your hand at a Robin movie! In the meantime, we leave you here with our in-depth analysis of Nolan’s Dark Knight.
