PLOT DAWN
Dawnthe film directed by Linda-Lisa Hayter, begins in the 1970s and follows the story of the teenager Dawn Longchamp (Brec Bassinger), daughter of a humble family full of love but who always had to struggle to make ends meet. But now things seem to be going in the right direction, the girl, together with her father Ormand (Jesse Metcalf), to the mother Sally (Helena Marie) and his older brother Jimmy (Khobe Champ), to whom she is very close, they moved to Virginia where Dawn and her brother have the opportunity to attend an elite institute, thanks to the job as school guardian obtained by their father.
What seems like the beginning of a new and happy life, however, is about to turn into a nightmare for the young girl.
He knows about schools Clara Jean And Philip Cutler (Elyse Maloway And Dane Schioler), children of a wealthy family. He immediately comes into conflict with the former while his heart begins to beat for the latter.
Dawn doesn’t yet know that her fate is linked to her two brothers much more than she could have imagined. The discovery of a shocking truth about her family’s past is about to completely upend her life, catapulting her into a reality of evil lies, mysteries and dark curses…
CURIOSITIES ABOUT DAWN
The film is the first of one miniseries in four chaptersbased on the novels by VC Andrews with the main protagonist the character of Dawn. The 4 films they tell us the dark and twisted stories of the Cutler, Booth and Longchamp families.
VC Andrews’ novels are among the best-selling of all time. Since 1979’s Flowers in the Attic, Andrews’ collection of novels has sold more than 106 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 22 languages. Andrews died in 1986 and it was Andrew Neiderman who took up the baton and continued the success of the novels. Dozens of films have been made from VC Andrews’ books.
Filming for the film took place in Vancouver and other locations in the Canadian province of British Columbia.
