Dwayne Johnson seems ready to do anything but abandon the cinema: the actor and wrestler has just signed a first-look deal with Disney! And what can we expect now?
Let’s go in order. Seven Bucks Productions, a film and television content production company founded by Johnson and Dany Garcia, will collaborate with The Walt Disney Company (and in all its divisions) in the creation of films for cinema and streaming. The agreement, therefore, will allow the label to connect to successful Disney franchises such as Marvel Studios, Star Wars/Lucasfilm, Disney Animation, Pixar and 20th Century Studios. A panorama so broad that The Rock is spoiled for choice: the actor has already collaborated with Disney for Moana and Johnson will return in the live-action remake as Maui but this time the agreement could expand the actor’s range of action .
And with our mind we can only catapult ourselves among the Marvel characters, a role for which The Rock certainly has the charisma and physique after the flop of Black Adam with DC. Will he have better luck with this superhero franchise? At the moment, however, it is only speculation although some time ago there were rumors of the possibility that Dwayne Johnson was being considered for a new version of Apocalypse In an X-Men movie. At the moment the actor, after having joined the board of directors of TKO, the company that controls WWE and UFC, is on the set of the new A24 biopic on the iconic MMA fighter Mark Kerr.
