THE GHOST have announced their first concert film. “Rite Here Rite Now” will be screened in cinemas around the world exclusively on 20 and 22 June 2024.
the film, directed by Alex Ross Perry and the singer Tobias Forgewill also contain live images taken during two shows that the band held in September 2023 in California.
Tobias Forge declares:
“Over a decade ago, when i GHOST they signed a contract with Loma Vista Recordings, Tom Whalley (owner and CEO of the label) asked what the history of the band was. He argued that telling the story was vital to engaging new fans.
I said we were a new ‘baby band’ and, more importantly, we were an anonymous baby band, so there was no good story to tell. Not yet, at least. I told him that if he wanted a story, I could make one up.
This film is the fruit of that conversation.”
The official trailer will be released on May 9th, the day on which it will also be possible to purchase cinema tickets and pre-order the soundtrack.
