The actor will reprise his role as Captain America once again
Chris Evans said goodbye to the role of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the end of Avengers: Endgame, but has always been open to his possible return. This could actually happen very soon in one of the studio’s upcoming films.
Scooper @MyTimeToShineHello claims that Evans has finally agreed to reprise the role in Avengers: Secret Wars. We don’t know if she will also appear in the still untitled Avengers 5, but it seems that a deal has been reached.
Before then, it seems that we will see the actor again in the MCU this summer, when, according to the latest rumors, he will appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, but as the Human Torch. We thought Marvel Studios could keep him until the Avengers movie, even though that would probably lessen the impact of him returning as Captain America.
If the news turns out to be true, it will be big news and we can only assume that MCU veterans like Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson will join him, who are already rumored to return in a Black Widow series.

Last November, Evans was asked about rumors that he was about to return as Captain America to which he responded: “You know, I see this news all the time too, and it’s new to me. I think every couple of months someone says they’re coming back Downey, and [Chris] Hemsworth, and Scarlett [Johansson]and everyone else!“.

Evans has always kept the door open to the possibility of returning playing Cap again: “I will never say I won’t go back again, because it was a wonderful experience“, he had said in the past. “But it is also something that I treasure very carefully.
