Keanu Reeves on stage in Turin for Sonic Park Stupinigi

An hour and a half of pure rock, adrenaline and movement. Those who still under the Mole didn’t know them yesterday evening (Sunday 30 June) were able to see first-hand: Dogstar are not just beautiful – the band’s bassist is the well-known Canadian actor Keanu Reeves – but they are also, and above all, good musicians, capable of selling out all their Italian dates, including the one that saw them perform in Turin yesterday as part of the Sonic Park Stupinigithe event organized by the Reverse Foundation which for the second year offers an interesting city preview in collaboration with Ogr Torino. Dogstar are a musical project born in 1991 by three young friends (Reeves included) who played for a long time in a garage, who split up in 2002, and who reunited in 2020 when, thanks to the long pandemic period, they decided to start working on new pieces, so much so as to mark an official return in May 2023. more than 20 years after their last performance. Today the group is made up of the actor Robert Mailhouse (drums and backing vocals), Bret Domrose (guitar and vocals) and Keanu Reeves (bass and backing vocals) among the most iconic stars of the international film scene and who last night appeared particularly in shape and excited. Allergic to the star system and known for his extreme reserve, he did not deny himself last night either. Probably to avoid the risk of obscuring the scene to the other members of the group, in fact, he was the only one who never took the microphone in his hand, not even to greet the cheering audience towards whom, however, he did not skimp on smiles and the gesture of the hand on the heart, repeated several times, to thank all those present.
