Laberenti, already known for his activity in the Tor des Géants, a 330 kilometer race with 24,000 meters of altitude difference, exceeded all expectations in this competition, winning first place in his category in the Lavaredo 120K.
He returned after 22 hours, 34 minutes and 42 seconds
Starting at 11:00 PM on June 28th from Cortina d’Ampezzo, he returned shortly after 9:30 PM the following day, Saturday, June 29th, completing the course in 22 hours, 34 minutes and 42 seconds. The course, although spectacular, is known for its difficulty, crossing the beautiful Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
A very hard preparation
Laberenti, affectionately called Tano by his friends, undertook this challenge with extremely hard preparation in the mountains of the Reggio Emilia Apennines, training day and night to face this titanic undertaking. The Lavaredo Ultra Trail is a race that requires participants to have a real capacity for personal autonomy in the mountains, allowing them to face difficult climatic conditions and manage the physical and mental complications caused by tiredness and minor injuries.
