The press conference of the new coach Massimo Brambilla and the new sporting director Domenico Roma, already announced in recent days thanks to the authorization of the respective clubs with which they were under contract (Juventus and Messina), should be held between tomorrow and Wednesday. . But for the “welcome” it was necessary to wait for the restrictions to expire, which were in place until June 30th.
Then the presentation of the new season ticket campaign will follow, again scheduled for the week that has just begun.
They could also be intense days in terms of making the first new purchases official. Specifically, the first two incoming shots would be the goalkeeper Victor De Lucia (just released from Entella) and the defender Davide Mondonico (left free following Ancona’s failure to register).
Whatever happens, there will be many new faces at Brambilla’s Foggia. In fact, there are currently 12 players under contract, but it is highly unlikely to imagine them all staying together.
Goalkeeper Perina, defenders Salines, Carillo, Marzupio, Riccardi, Ercolani and Papazov, midfielder Vezzoni, forwards Santaniello and Beretta have contracts expiring until June 2025. The contracts of Millico and Tascone will expire in 2026. Of these, the only ones who are certain of staying are the former Torino playmaker and the Neapolitan midfielder, who will be among the cornerstones of Brambilla’s new Foggia.
Perina’s future is in the balance, especially in the event of De Lucia’s arrival. Provided that the coach from Brianza does not want to work with two potential starting goalkeepers. The Milan-trained striker has a rather onerous contract that will expire in 2025, one of the many misdeeds committed during the winter transfer window two seasons ago. We will have to work towards a resolution, it will not be easy to find an agreement.
The contracts of Nobile, Rizzo, Di Modugno, Antonacci, Schenetti, Embalo, Manneh, Tonin, Odjer and Di Noia have expired (the latter, already made official by Entella). For the former captain, there has been talk for days about a return home (Trapani is looking for him), but also about a possible attempt by the club to renew his contract. However, Moses Odjer’s permanence seems more distant.
With this scenario, it is therefore conceivable that Foggia’s incoming market will be very intense, with at least 12 (if not even more) new faces. Focus on the attacker: the dream remains Lescano, but bringing him to Foggia requires a considerable financial commitment (Triestina spent 350 thousand euros to snatch him from Pescara). There is no shortage of alternatives, such as Alberto Spagnoli (like Mondonico, fresh from his experience at Ancona), Simone Guerra and Emanuele Pecorino, both from Juventus. For the midfield the most popular name these days is that of Samuele Damiani from Palermo, a well-known face for Brambilla who had him at Juventus Next Gen.
