Amazing results for the Central Italy Team at the Regions Trophy.

It has just ended the 26th edition of the Regions Trophy held in Scanzano Jonico on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June. Excellent results come from the athletes of the Team Centro Italia who represented Abruzzo at the Regions Trophy.

Andrea D’Angelo captured the national title in the 200 IM by recording a time of 2:21.65. He didn’t stop there, placing second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 58.48, just seven hundredths of a second from first place.

Ginevra Ballarini amazed everyone with a super time in the 200 medley, climbing from fifth to second national position with a time of 2:37.42. In the 400 freestyle, she placed 11th nationally, improving her personal best with a time of 4:59.84.

As for the men’s relays, there were two regional records and a historic placing: Abruzzo took 3rd place in the 4×100 freestyle and 2nd place in the 4×100 medley, just a tenth behind the Veneto team that won the national title.

Such is the satisfaction and pride of coach Francesco Ulto, technician of the Abruzzo representative and coach of Team Central Italy, for the excellent results of its athletes Ginevra and Andrea, who positioned themselves at the top of the national rankings.

The Abruzzo team finished in eighth place nationally in the regional points ranking, thus equaling the historic Abruzzo result obtained several years ago. Congratulations from the management and all the staff, to the coach and the athletes for the excellent results achieved in an event of national importance.
