Florence, 1 July 2024 – Every time the members of the’Inner Wheel Firenze Iris they meet to take part in an associative occasion, the atmosphere is always that of friendship and spontaneity. It was no different last night, when the outgoing president was at Villa Olmi in Bagno a Ripoli Edy Cardini he passed the traditional presidential collar to Luciana Saintswho will lead the Club in the year 2024-2025. The occasion was even more festive, thanks to the entry of the two new members Sara Mascagni and Nadia Dominici, which were greeted with applause and great general enthusiasm. “Inner Wheel – were the words of the outgoing president Edy Cardini – means for all of us sincere friendship between the members and the desire for concrete relationships with the other Florentine clubs, a wealth that we intend to cultivate also in the future.” It is no coincidence that among the numerous guests present yesterday evening there was also the president of the Inner Wheel Club Lucca Iliana Nutinithe incoming president of Inner Wheel Florence Maria Francesca Ottaviani, Daniela Soderi – Deputy National Representative -, Paul Soderiincoming president for the 2025-2026 year of the Rotary Club Firenze Amerigo Vespucci and John Courtiers, incoming president 2025-2026 of the Rotary Club Firenze Est. “During this shared year – Cardini continued – we visited important exhibitions and took trips out of town that have further strengthened the bond that unites us to each other. But above all we have carried out important services, embracing the district project in favor of the flood victims of Emilia Romagna – specifically we supported the Il trenino nursery school -, promoting a scholarship for a deserving student of the Cherubini Conservatory of Florence – which will be awarded on September 25 at Villa Favard in Rovezzano – and contributed to scientific research for the early diagnosis of rare diseases in the Tuscan territory, making a donation to the project “Drops of Hope”, at the Neonatal Screening Laboratory of the Meyer Pediatric Hospital in Florence.”
