PAGANIC. This year too, the traditional “Corsa del Cappello” returns to Paganica, now in its 21st edition, which revives, in the L’Aquila hamlet, an ancient tradition dating back to 1650. The program, which every year is enriched with news, includes the opening of the “Attimi d’Arte” exhibition on Friday 5 July, at 5pm, a journey to discover the works of Lia Garofalo which will remain open for all three days of the event. At 7pm food stands open and at 9pm “A-Cappello la Finale” music contest for bands, live on Radio L’Aquila 1. DJ set from midnight. Saturday 6 July, in the civic hall, at 10 am, conference “Sustainable City” organized by the “Ju Parchetto con noi” Association. At 3pm briscola tournament and at 4.30pm presentation of the teams that will participate in the Corsa del Cappello, a challenge between the districts of the L’Aquila area. At 5pm, after the reconnaissance lap along the competition route, the XXI Corsa del Cappello will start among the districts of Paganica: Piazza, Sant’Antonio, Colle and Pietralata. At 7pm the food stands will open, at 9pm popular games and at 11pm Run Party, special guest “Dino Brown, the history of dance”. The highlight of the event, which now attracts a very large audience, especially tourists from outside the region, will be Sunday 7 July, with a day full of initiatives. We start at 8 with a mountain bike excursion and an off-road excursion. This will be followed by the exhibition of vintage cars, Vespas and tractors, which will invade Piazza Umberto I and Piazza della Concezione, to continue, at 10am, with the walk “Discovering the beauties of Pagani”. At 1pm the food stands will open and at 3pm the Junior Hat Race for the Under 6, Under 9 and Under 12 categories. The Hat Race, a challenge between the surrounding towns, will start at 5.30pm. At 7pm opening of the food stands and at 9pm live show “Regina-The Real Queen Experience”, Queen cover band with aerial dance show by Fly Factory. From midnight to late DJ Valleesse, Pepi Voice.
