There are just a few hours left until the historic stage of the Tour de France, Piacenza-Turin, the third stage of the 111th edition of the Grande Boucle. Already on Saturday, but also on Sunday and Monday, various traffic and parking bans were established in the affected streets (Click here to read dates, times and the complete list of affected streets).

The runners’ meeting place and the Tour de France Village are located in the Viale Malta car park. The village will open at 8.15am. The advertising caravan will have the Garilli stadium as its technical car park, from there it will move in the direction of Pubblico Passeggio and from here, at 9.15 am, it will pass the starting line and begin to move along the route (it is a 13 kilometer long serpentine of vehicles).

As for the race, however, the meeting point for the teams and cyclists is always in the parking lot of Viale Malta. The roll call of the individual teams will begin at 10 am and end at 11.10 am. At 11.15 am the “fictitious” departure in non-competitive mode from the parking lot of Viale Malta and will follow this route: Via Venturini, Stradone Farnese, Via Giordani, Piazza Sant’Antonino, Via Sant’Antonino, Piazza Cavalli, Via XX Settembre, Piazza Duomo, Via Romagnosi, Viale Risorgimento, Piazzale Milano, Via Maculani, Via XXI Aprile along all the walls, Piazzale Torino, Via Emilia Pavese and then straight on to Castelsangiovanni, with kilometer 0, that is, the real start of the race, set on the Trebbia bridge in San Nicolò.

The passages: the internal “Tour” of the city will start from the parking lot of viale Malta at 11.15 and will last about 20 minutes, because the departure of the km0 in San Nicolò is scheduled for 11.35. The passage in Rottofreno is scheduled between 11.42 and 11.43, in Pontetidone between 11.45 and 11.46, in Sarmato between 11.46 and 11.47, in Castelsangiovanni between 11.53 and 11.55 in Campo d’Oro between 11.58 and 12. From here it will then enter the province of Pavia and off towards Turin.
