From Monday 1st July until 15th September, snap the attention phase per Forest fires in all the provinces of Emilia-Romagna. The provision, as usual, was issued by the Regional Agency for Territorial Security and Civil Protection, in agreement with the representatives of the Regional Directorate of the Fire Brigade, the Regional Carabinieri Forestry Command and Arpae Emilia-Romagna. Furthermore, at the same time as the start of the summer campaign against fires, also an twinning with the Sardinia Regionwhich will see the sending of a mobile column from Emilia-Romagna with teams of Civil Protection volunteers: they will be engaged on the island in the month of July.

I want to remind you that it is necessary for all citizens to pay the utmost attention, increasing the level of individual responsibility even further.”

What does the attention phase involve?
With the start of the attention phase, the forestry Carabinieri patrols will have as priority fire control and the repression of all illicit behavior. In Emilia-Romagna a bulletin has been issued at the moment medium risk (code yellow), valid until 7 July: citizens are therefore advised to manage with the extreme caution when burning Of plant residues of agricultural and forestry work, which may only be carried out in the absence of wind and only in the morning. In this phase, every day there will be 18 forestry patrols dedicated to the prevention of forest fires. Furthermore, up to 9 teams of volunteers are in the field, one per province, and two fire brigade helicopters in the period considered the most critical, i.e. the central weeks of August. Around 150 volunteers were involved in the surveillance of the Soup (Permanent Unified Operations Room) and in the fire spotting teams, at the fixed points or in patrolling the mobile routes. The permanent unified operations room opens
Also from Monday, at the headquarters of the Regional Agency for Territorial Security and Civil Protection in Viale Silvani in Bologna, the Soup, a permanent unified operations room, will also open to oversee the territory. The operation of the Hall is expected, barring extensions, until September 1st. From 8:00 to 20:00, Saturday and Sunday included, there will be representatives of the Fire Department, the Carabinieri specialty forestry and the Civil Protection volunteers specialized in fire prevention. An on-call service will operate during the night.

In the meantime, the activities planned by the volunteers will resume (mobile and fixed sightings), in support of the units of the Fire Brigade and the Forestry Carabinieri, who in turn will raise the level of control of the territory, for the prevention and repression of illicit actions. .

Twinning with the Sardinia Region
Monday 1st
July a will also start twinning from la Emilia Romagna region and the Sardinia Region. The activities will take place in the municipalities of Villacidro and Isili in the territory of the Province of South Sardinia. Here Emilia-Romagna will implement a mobile column, which will see the rotation of four contingents on weekly shifts; the column will be made up of 19 volunteer operational operators, certified against fires, and three regional officials. There are also five off-road operational vehicles equipped for forest firefighting and two minibuses for travel with people. The conclusion of the activities with the return of the teams is scheduled for July 26th.
