LADISPOLI – The Ladispoli summer will not only be Piazza Rossellini but also Grottaccia. The municipal administrators had said so during the press conference to present the summer program. And so it was. In these days the dance recitals of the schools of the territory have started. And the problems related to the new road system that the cycle path – still unfinished and at a standstill – has caused are already being felt. It is difficult to find a parking space, especially now that even vacationers are landing on the coast, especially in the areas near the work. In Via Rapallo, the narrow street, right in the center and now also with Via Venezia transformed into an open-air construction site where half of the parking spaces have been swept away, it is truly difficult to park. Obviously, traffic is also affected, especially during rush hour. The opposition members have repeatedly put the spotlight on the red route, especially the one that from Via Roma should lead to the train station. But one question remains without a certain answer for the councilors themselves and especially for the citizens: how will the cycle path from Via Venezia to Piazzale Roma be connected? No one knows anything about this “Last Mile” yet. “We asked questions to the offices and the councilor about this,” explained Ladispoli Attiva councilor Gianfranco Marcucci, “and they told us they are evaluating. The summer will pass with this uncertainty.” A fact, for Marcucci, “very serious.” And the cycle path and urban plan for sustainable mobility will also be discussed at the city council on motions and questions on July 23. “We need an overall vision,” continued Marcucci, “because the interventions, so “piecemeal” cause the cycle paths to become a problem and be hated by the citizens.” For the civic representative, various aspects are taken into consideration: from parking to vehicular traffic. In short, we should have a complete vision before starting a project that will “overturn” the citizens’ routine. ©ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
