The inauguration of the outdoor space adjacent to the Bocciodromo in Piazzale Azzurri d’Italia took place on Saturday afternoon. The ribbon was cut at 5:30 p.m., followed by the viewing of Italia Svizzera on special large screens, followed by a DJ set and fireworks display from the Cremona Luna Park. A real change of pace was the start of the new management of the commercial activity of the bocciodromo, which a few months after taking office, in addition to ensuring the normal running of the internal bar service, has provided for the redevelopment of the long-disused outdoor space, with a kiosk, tables and a relaxation area. There are also stands in front of which a large screen will soon be installed. The pristine location surrounded by greenery, yet just a stone’s throw from the city center, inspired the name WILD URBAN THEATER, open every day from 12 to 22, with an extension until midnight on weekends. The large parking lot and the connection with the cycle paths make the location easily accessible and the freshness that you breathe immersed in the greenery of the Colonie Padane represents the real plus. The atmosphere is informal, ice creams and drinks always available and the kitchen always open. The menu is varied, lovers of healthy food will be satisfied with taste, as well as the palates of the most greedy. There will be pizza.
The manager of the venue, Edoardo Fugazza, said he was satisfied with the start of the activities, despite the race against time: “The location has great potential, the space is multifunctional and is aimed at multiple categories of users: from athletes, to groups of girls and boys to families, without forgetting the seniors who usually meet in the early hours of the afternoon. The multiplicity of spaces is able to accommodate the needs of everyone.”
“In addition to the normal carrying out of activities from 12pm to 10pm every day and until midnight on weekends, we will certainly also organize themed events.” continues Fugazza “Moreover, in this period it is always possible to come and watch Italy’s matches, the same will happen later with the Olympics. Here people must feel at home, to combat the summer heat and breathe a little fresh air it is the ideal place, like being in your own garden but with a good ice cream, good food, a good aperitif and some beautiful music .”
Then there is space for sport. “At the moment, thanks to the synergic collaboration with the bowling alley, we support numerous bowling tournaments but there is also a lot of space available outside and we do not exclude opening up to new activities”.
