This morning, Monday, July 1st, the Mayor of Guidonia Montecelio Mauro Lombardo, the Councilor for the Environment Andrea Mazza, the Director of the Environment Sector, Annalisa Tassone, accompanied by some technicians, returned to the “la Sorgente” area, in the Colle Fiorito neighborhood, to verify the overall situation of the area after the start of the extraordinary and urgent works made necessary after the end of the 380 thousand euro forestation intervention by the winning contractor.

The municipal administration announced it in a note.
According to the press release, the situation, as also represented by numerous citizens on social media, does not meet the expectations of residents and the municipal administration which, for this reason, had to provide for an intervention to clean the area and water the plants that do not appear to have taken root well.

The Municipality announces that, in the meantime, a careful review of the contract relating to the “Experimental program of interventions for adaptation to climate change”, linked to the construction of this work financed with ministerial funds, has been started, so that its contents are meticulously verified. If necessary, any disputes will be charged.
“This area must become an urban park – points out Mayor Mauro Lombardo –a green lung available to the City and, in particular, to the little ones. With the agronomists we will understand exactly if something has not worked and, in this case, who is responsible for any possible responsibility”.
