MERLENGO (TREVISO) – Franco “Frankie” Gasparin is dead. Well known in the city for bringing back the climate and music of the 50s with the days dedicated to the myth of Elvis Presley. For some time he had been fighting the disease which left him no escape.

Already manager of theAl Baston tavernGasparin was well known in Merlengo, the town where he lived, but also in Treviso and outside. His notoriety was due above all to the commitment he put into organizing the Elvis Days, one of the events that liven up the Treviso summer also with the parade of vintage cars and motorbikes, which attracted people from all over the Province who often they arrived dressed in full Rockabilly style.
