Another tragedy on the streets of Rome and its province, this time double. Along the Tiburtina Valeria, today morning, Saturday 29 June, near the crossroads for Roviano, an accident occurred between two motorcyclists.
In the impact, at km 54.699, the two centaurs lost their lives. The 118 staff, Anas staff, the traffic police and the carabinieri were on site. The intervention of the air ambulance was also useless. The road was closed to allow the investigations to be carried out. The number of victims on the roads thus rose to 79 and June was a black month.
18 deaths in June
There have been 18 deaths this month. The last victim was Margherita Giubilei, 63, who died along the Strada della Neve, the road that connects the Pianabella di Montelibretti train station to Palombara Sabina. Before her, Marco Torre, the policeman who died on the ring road, Renzo Miconi Rocchi who lost his life in Torre Maura and 48 hours before him also Valerio Marziali, 34, an employee of Ama, in via Casilina at the height of via Tor Tre Teste.
Then the dramatic case of Manila De Luca and Luca Pupillo, who died on the Colombo. And again Stefano Venturini, a judge at the Court of Appeal of Rome, died following a road accident in Rome North. At the beginning of the month Giacomo Sabelli, Enrico Colapicchioni, Gianluca Buttinelli, Anna Maria Zuppello, Stefano Violati, Andres Garcia Blanco, Vincenzo Dorascenzi, Anna Todaro and Valter Grossi also lost their lives.
