The association On the side of the last on the occasion of World Refugee Day it organizes a series of events.
Among these, in collaboration with the Campobasso “Vivian Maier” Photography Center e all’photographic cultural association “Six towers Tommaso Brasiliano”they realize of a photo contest titled “Seen by others… the others are us” it’s a talk final with the photojournalist Danilo Balducci.
Wednesday 10 July 2024 from 18:00 on the occasion of the contest awards ceremony, a talk will be organized with the photojournalist Danilo Balducci entitled “The invisible line” at Marchesale Palace in Rbeg (CB). FIAF K1/2024 recognition.
Danilo Balducci:
Born in L’Aquila in 1971, he has always been fascinated by photography and the communicative power of images. Reportage and social photography are his main interests.
Graduated from the Higher Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication in Rome, he has been a professional since 1998. Professor of photography and reportage at the Academy of Fine Arts in L’Aquila.
He regularly supplies images to Italian and foreign photographic agencies. His images and stories have been published in national and international newspapers and magazines: Time, Life, Denver Post, Internazionale, Der Spiegel, Daily News, L’Espresso, Repubblica, Panorama, etc.
Winner of several awards, in 2008 he received 2 Bronze awards from the Orvieto International Photography Awards (reportage and portraits sections) and various national and international awards; in March 2009 he won the BOP 2009 (Best of Photojournalism) announced by the NPPA (National Press Photographer Association) in the USA, ranking third in the category “Non Traditional Photojournalism Publishing”.
