BUSTO ARSIZIO – The state police of Busto Arsizio have identified and reported the perpetrators of a home robbery that took place on November 26 of last year. On the evening of November 26, 2023, a man living in Busto Arsizio, returning home with his minor daughter, surprised three criminals who, after having forced a French window, were committing a burglary in his home.
The owner of the house managed to block one of them, but had to let go when one of the accomplices threatened him with death while brandishing a knife. The victim managed to report to the police officers who intervened the brief description of the three criminals, who had acted with their faces uncovered, and the color of the car in which they had fled after leaving through the window. However, the decisive element in identifying the robbers was the cell phone that one of them, using it as a torch, had lost in his escape. Despite the false heading on the telephone card, in fact, the policemen of the Commissariat, investigating with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, succeeded, with a patient and accurate investigation activity, intertwining data and information obtained from printouts, territorial checks, video surveillance systems and other investigations, to trace the identity of the three criminals: These are Chilean citizens who live in the Rome area but usually move throughout the national territory, probably precisely to commit crimes such as thefts, and with precedents also in relation to narcotic substances.
Investigators were also able to reconstruct the movements of the three, two of whom arrived in Busto Arsizio a few minutes before the robbery aboard a car rented in Lazio and here joined by the third, who instead traveled by train. The three will then go to trial in Busto Arsizio for the crime of robbery in a house.
