Vito Leccese is ready to take office: the successor to Antonio Decaro, who emerged victorious from the battle against Fabio Romito, is working to make the first moves as soon as he officially wears the mayoral sash. The first announcement came a few minutes after the victory in the runoff: to stem the housing emergency through economic support for around two thousand families. Another hot topic is certainly parking: the future mayor had already declared during the election campaign that he would focus on appurtenant parking spaces reserved for residents. A guest on Telebari’s TB Talk, where he also spoke about a new department of Beauty to improve the quality of life of the people of Bari, he opened up to the possibility of building underground parking lots.
“I have planned the construction of the relevant parking lots for residents – said the new mayor of Bari -. Now I will verify whether the old project of an underground parking lot, also for residents, in Corso Cavour is still technically feasible”. A real novelty: the idea of an underground parking lot reserved for residents had never come up in public debates, much less in discussions with candidates from other coalitions.
