The Gialloblù market men have been working for some time to deliver to mister Fabio Pecchia a squad ready to face Serie A and in recent weeks there have been numerous profiles of players linked to Parma. Two of these would be the very young John Leoni e Francesco Pio Espositobut the competition for both is very fierce. The Sampdoria defender was one of the great revelations of the Serie B championship that has just ended and the 2006-born player has already attracted the attention of the big clubs, while the centre-forward is being sought after by several clubs intent on believing in the promising 2005 Nerazzurri player. However, the future of the two precocious talents could soon become intertwined: according to rumours reported by PianetaSerieB, in fact, there has been a meeting between representatives of the Lombard and Sampdoria clubs and the Inter manager Giuseppe Marotta is reportedly negotiating the purchase of Leoni’s contract – who would remain in Genoa for at least another year – and the possible loan transfer of the young Esposito to the Blucerchiati. The two operations seem apparently unrelated, but confirm the excellent relationship between the two clubs that could continue to do business, effectively excluding Parma from the race for both players.
