Transfer market, the eyes of Sampdoria and Bari are on Gabriele Guarino

The 2023/24 season has been bittersweet for Gabriele Guarino: on the one hand, it saw his debut in the U21 national team and many months following the Empoli first team in Serie A, although without ever making his debut with the Tuscan team in the top division. In January, there was then the loan move to Modena in Serie B but in this case an injury prevented him from showing off.

Now, after having done well in the U20 World Cup, playing until the final just 12 months ago, the defender from Molfetta is evaluating the best options for his future. Empoli strongly believes in him, in fact they are not considering a permanent transfer but are considering surveys for annual loans to give him experience, perhaps in Serie B where there is less pressure than in Serie A.

In July 2023, it was Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio who inquired about him, now the two clubs interested would be Sampdoria and Bari. The two clubs would like to experience a Serie B as protagonists in the next championship and are looking for a reinforcement in defense, which is why the player from Molfetta could be a more than interesting profile.

Furthermore, a possible transfer to Bari would represent a sort of homecoming for him.
